Spring has sprung! Ok well not really – but I feel like I have as the news came in today… "Wiarton Willie, did not see his shadow, Thursday, which means an early spring is on its way."
Seriously, I have been feeling like a hibernating bear, roll over, hide and sleep for two more months. Why I wonder – when we have been so lucky to bypass this winters bite for so long. We have had mild winter temperatures as the Great Lakes are still quite warm, thanks to an unusually hot summer combined with a mild fall season. But today, I suddenly feel renewed, excited for tulips, crocuses and snow drops oh my!
Don’t get me wrong – I don’t think you should put away the shovels yet! But take your coffee outside this morning, take a deep breath and remember what spring feels like. Take the opportunity to look outside at your home and garden and start thinking about how you would like to spend your time this summer. This is the perfect time of year to see the “bones” of your home, not hidden by a wild jungle. Are you planning on selling? Look to see what updates you may need to revitalize your curb appeal and bring buyers through your frontdoor; you don’t want them to drive right by! Then as you cozy up beside the fireplace this evening, think about what you can do inside your home to breathe new life into it (what? You don’t have a fireplace – seriously, we need to talk!) You still have a few months left to work inside your home before the temptation to spend all day outside arrives. Now is the perfect time for a fresh coat of paint, a new bathroom, and organizing that closet you’ve been putting off! You can do it sleepy bear! And of course, if it’s a big idea… we can help.
Well I’m ready for spring, are you? Perhaps I was just tired form all the training and trade shows we have attended since the New Year. Inspiration and information overload! It truly is a wonderful thing! My resolution is to start blogging more often to share with you all of the valuable information I’ve been collecting! If you have questions, I’d love to hear from you!
